I am not a mushroom is a poetic reflection on the life of mushrooms and what we might have in common. Taking the mutually beneficial assemblage of mushrooms and trees as a starting point, the film looks into what other kinds of assemblages there are, where both parties mutually benefit from the other. It particularly focuses on how humans and their pets can constitute an assemblage, both caring for one another.
