The Special Show was born during the first lockdown of the Coronavirus pandemic, while reading Luxembourg city's magazine "City".
The first episode is called "Residents in Crisis" and resulted from blackout poems that were created with the magazine's texts, thus giving the whole "pandemic discourse" a slightly surreal tone. This surreal, absurd tone in turn reveals how the media, along with those who experienced the situation from a privileged place, created a kind of consensus around what the experience of the lockdown looked like (allowing them to "reconnect" with "nature" or bake more cakes for example), erasing the experiences of those who didn't have the leisure to do all of those things.

The Special Show then evolved into a framework for topics I wanted to explore via the embodiment of different characters. It takes on the structure of a traditional TV show featuring sections like the news and the weather report, interviews, children's educational programs, field investigations, self-help advice, a cooking show, etc, but twisted and turned into an absurd, colorful, poetic performance with a cheap and DIY aesthetic and a deconstructed perspective.
